An apartment interior delivered in Abu Dhabi rather than Dubai. Working in another emirate means a different authority, different approvals and a supply chain that has to be run at distance, and all of that has to be planned for before the design work matters.
We delivered the interior, the fit-out and the fitted joinery. Material and joinery deliveries were sequenced around the drive from our workshop, which is the practical difference on an out-of-emirate job.
A different emirate means a different authority and a different set of building rules, and the approvals run on their own timetable rather than Dubai's. Access to the building, working hours and material movement are all set by a management the team is meeting for the first time.
Because the fabrication happened before mobilisation, the time actually spent inside the building was short — the constraint that matters most in a residential tower with limited working hours.
