What is Burj Khalifa Restaurant?
Burj Khalifa Restaurant is a restaurant in Downtown Dubai. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the bar and the bespoke millwork. Design, fit-out and joinery were delivered by a single in-house team.
Designed and built by one team.
A restaurant inside the Burj Khalifa carries a particular weight: the address does a great deal of the work, and the interior has to be worth the setting rather than lean on it. The logistics are equally particular, since every delivery and every hour on site is governed by the building.
We handled design and fit-out through to handover. The joinery was made in our workshop and brought in to suit the building's access constraints, which on a job like this is what decides the programme.
A tower of that height controls everything about access — service lifts are booked, loads are limited by what the lift will carry, and nothing oversized reaches the floor unless it was designed to be assembled there.
The bar and the fitted joinery were built in sections sized for the service lift and assembled on the floor, which is a design decision taken at drawing stage rather than a problem solved on delivery day.
