What is Drvn Coffee?
Drvn Coffee is a coffee shop in Bluewaters Island, Dubai. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the counter and the fitted joinery. Design, fit-out and joinery were delivered by a single in-house team.

On Bluewaters Island a large share of the trade walks past rather than arrives deliberately, which makes the frontage and the counter the two things the plan has to get right.
The counter and the fitted joinery came out of our own workshop, within an interior and fit-out taken on as one package.
A counter-led plan lives or dies on the queue: where it forms, how it clears, and whether waiting customers block the people already served. That sequence is set before any finish is chosen.
The service line was set out full size before anything was built, because on a counter-led plan a few centimetres in the wrong place is felt on every shift.
