What is L'Coutoure?
L'Coutoure is an activewear store in Dubai Hills Mall, UAE. Rectangle Interiors delivered the fit-out, the shopfitting and the display joinery. As a mall unit it was built to the landlord's fit-out guidelines and handed over against a fixed opening date.
Designed and built by one team.
An activewear store at Dubai Hills Mall, planned around a tall central volume with fluted timber running up the walls and a dark ceiling grid carrying the track lighting. The fixtures are deliberately light so the stock supplies the colour.
We designed and built the interior, producing the display joinery and the fitted units in our own workshop and working to the mall's fit-out access windows.
Mall units come with a landlord's fit-out guidelines, a hoarding line and a fixed handover date, and the programme is built backwards from that date. Deliveries happen outside trading hours, which compresses the installation window rather than the build.
The tall central volume was raised inside one closure, and the unit was handed over against the landlord's inspection ahead of the mall's opening date.
