What is Peets Coffee?
Peets Coffee is a coffee shop in Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the counter and the fitted joinery. As a mall unit it was built to the landlord's fit-out guidelines and handed over against a fixed opening date.

Peet's is an American coffee brand with a defined store language, and a mall unit gives you a fixed envelope to fit it into. The work is reconciling the two — brand standard on one side, the landlord's shell and services on the other.
Mall programmes run to the landlord's access windows, and on a unit this size that governs the job. The interior and the fit-out were ours, and we made the counter and the fitted joinery.
A defined store language gives you the language but not the unit, and a mall shell rarely matches the prototype. The work is keeping the brand's proportions while fitting an extraction route and a servery the landlord has already allocated.
The counter, the back-bar and the fitted seating were built in our own workshop and installed inside the centre's overnight working window.
