Phasing followed the hotel's occupancy, with the interior, the fit-out and the fitted joinery delivered as one package.
Keeping the sea in view from the public rooms constrains where services and back-of-house can go, so the plan pushes them to the inboard side and keeps the seaward face clear. On the Palm, access and delivery windows are set by the property rather than by the programme.
The fitted elements were made off site and installed as finished units, which suits a property where the working area is close to guests throughout.
