The Meydan Hotel is a hotel interior in Dubai. Rectangle Interiors delivered the interior design, the fit-out and the bespoke joinery. Design, fit-out and joinery were delivered by a single in-house team.

The Meydan is a destination property rather than a city-centre hotel, so its interiors carry more of the guest's experience — people are there for the setting, and the public rooms have to justify the journey.
The hotel's operations set the working pattern for an interior and fit-out that included the fitted joinery.
A destination property is judged on arrival: guests come for the place itself, so the entrance sequence and the public rooms carry more of the impression than they would in a hotel people simply sleep in. That puts the weight on the first two rooms anyone sees.
Reception and lounge joinery was built in our workshop, and the work was phased so the property remained open to guests while it was carried out.
