What is Al Sahlawi Villa?
Al Sahlawi Villa is a villa interior in Downtown Palace. Rectangle Interiors delivered the interior design, the fit-out and the bespoke joinery. Design, fit-out and joinery were delivered by a single in-house team.

A private villa with a pool terrace at its centre, planned so the main rooms open onto it. The interior follows the same idea indoors: a restrained palette and a lot of built-in joinery, so the architecture and the landscape stay the subject.
We covered the interior design, the fit-out and the joinery, and furnished the house through to handover.
Planning the main rooms around a pool terrace makes the glazing line the most important detail in the house: it sets the sightlines, the light through the day and where the interior stops. Everything inside is then arranged to keep that edge clear.
The fitted joinery throughout was built in our own workshop, so the runs that meet the glazing could be made to the opening's real dimensions rather than packed out to fit.
