City Walk apartments are low-rise and urban rather than tower units, which gives a different set of proportions to work with — more wall, less glazing, and rooms that read as rooms rather than as one open volume.
Storage and fitted furniture were made to measure as part of an interior and fit-out package delivered complete, rather than left at the finishes stage for somebody else to finish.
Low-rise buildings make the practical side easier — joinery can be carried rather than craned, and delivery windows are less contested than in a tower. What they do not give you is spare volume, so storage has to be found in the plan rather than added to it.
Fitted storage and wardrobes were made to the apartment's own dimensions in our workshop, which is the difference between usable depth and a standard carcass that leaves dead space behind it.
