Hotel interiors are specified for a use rate residential work never sees. Corridors, lobbies and guest rooms take continuous traffic, so the detailing is chosen for how it looks after a few years rather than on opening day.
The property's operating requirements shaped the phasing of an interior and fit-out delivered with the joinery made in-house.
Specifying for hotel use means choosing on maintenance as much as appearance: edges that survive luggage, upholstery that can be cleaned repeatedly, and finishes that can be repaired in place rather than replaced. The operator inherits the maintenance, so those choices are theirs to live with.
Public areas were returned to service one at a time, and the finishes were chosen so the operator can repair rather than replace them.
