What is LPM?
LPM is a restaurant in DIFC, Dubai. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the bar and the bespoke millwork. A DIFC address means the fit-out is approved through the district's own authority.
Designed and built by one team.
LPM sits in DIFC, where the lunch trade is the financial district and the evening crowd is something else entirely. A dining room here has to carry both, without feeling designed for one and merely tolerated by the other.
Our scope covered the interior design and the fit-out, including the bar and the millwork. DIFC's approvals and its restrictions on working hours shaped the programme as much as the construction did.
Serving a financial district at lunch and a different crowd at night means the room has to change character without being rearranged, which is done through lighting and seating layout rather than movable elements. DIFC approvals govern the build itself.
The bar, the banquettes and the fitted joinery were made in our workshop and installed inside the building's permitted hours.
