What is Robertos?
Robertos is a restaurant in Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the bar and the bespoke millwork. Delivering in Abu Dhabi meant working to that emirate's own approvals and access rules.

Roberto's on Al Maryah Island puts the restaurant in Abu Dhabi's financial district, with the weekday business trade that implies and a separate evening proposition alongside it.
The approvals ran through Abu Dhabi's own authorities, and the joinery was produced in our workshop for an interior and fit-out delivered out of emirate.
Abu Dhabi's financial district brings a weekday trade with fixed hours, so the room has to turn tables at lunch and hold guests in the evening. Working in another emirate also means a different authority and a different approvals timetable.
Delivery to another emirate was planned as part of the programme rather than as logistics at the end of it, so the installation window on site stayed short.
