What is The Gym?
The Gym is a gym in Business Bay, Dubai. Rectangle Interiors delivered the interior design, the fit-out and the fitted joinery. The fit-out was designed inside the building's shell and approved against the landlord's rules.

Gyms are specified for load and wear before anything else — floor build-ups that take dropped weight, ventilation that copes with the use, and finishes that survive being cleaned constantly.
Reception and changing-room joinery were part of an interior and fit-out delivered in Business Bay.
Specifying for load and wear decides most of the detail: floor build-ups that absorb dropped weight, wall protection where equipment sits against it, and finishes that survive daily cleaning. Getting those wrong is expensive to correct once the equipment is in.
Reception, lockers and the fitted storage were made in our own workshop, and the floor build-ups were laid before the equipment was brought in.
