For a private bank the office is a confidentiality problem as much as a design one. Meeting rooms need genuine acoustic separation, client and staff routes should not cross unnecessarily, and the finish has to be substantial without being showy.
Acoustic detailing was built in rather than added afterwards, across an interior, fit-out and joinery package delivered at Burj Daman in DIFC.
Confidentiality is built into the fabric: partition build-ups that carry to the slab, doors that seal, and circulation planned so a client arriving does not pass a client leaving. A DIFC address also brings the district's own approvals process.
Meeting-room joinery, reception and the fitted storage were made in our workshop, with the acoustic detailing resolved in the joinery rather than added afterwards.
