Swank 37 Villas

Swank is thirty-seven villas rather than one, and that changes the nature of the work. Repetition at that number is an advantage in procurement and a risk in quality: the same detail has to come out the same way thirty-seven times.

We designed and delivered the interiors across the development, producing the joinery in matched batches in our own workshop. Consistency between the units was the measure of the job.

Thirty-seven houses make the detail a production question. Every junction is drawn once and repeated, materials are ordered against the whole run rather than per villa, and the programme is sequenced so trades move through the houses in order instead of returning to each one.

Trades moved through the houses in sequence rather than returning to each one, which is what keeps a thirty-seven-villa programme predictable and the last house to the same standard as the first.
