What is Tim Hortons?
Tim Hortons is a coffee shop in Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai. Rectangle Interiors took it from concept design through construction, including the counter and the fitted joinery. As a mall unit it was built to the landlord's fit-out guidelines and handed over against a fixed opening date.
Designed and built by one team.
A flagship is not simply a larger branch. At Dubai Hills Mall, Tim Hortons needed the standard brand fit-out executed to a higher finish level and at a scale where the queueing and seating layout has to be genuinely resolved rather than repeated.
We built the interior to the brand's specification, producing the counter and fitted joinery ourselves and working inside the mall's fit-out access windows.
A flagship carries the standard brand kit plus whatever is specific to being the flagship, and both have to fit a mall unit with an allocated extraction route and a fixed handover date. The counter is planned for a throughput higher than a normal branch.
The counter, the back-of-house joinery and the fitted seating were made in our workshop and installed across the centre's overnight windows.
